We often see that the homepage of some corporate websites is a huge photo or an inexplicable FLASH. The reason for making such a website, whether it is a business operator or a website producer, will say that it represents the corporate image. From the perspective of Internet marketing-oriented corporate website construction, this design not only fails to represent the corporate image, but even damages the corporate image to a great extent. The reason is very simple. If a website reflects the corporate image with only a beautiful web design, then creating the corporate image is really simple. You only need to hire a web designer, or spend at most several thousand yuan to outsource to other companies to design a beautiful website homepage. This completes the work of corporate online image. When conducting a survey on the online marketing status of large corporate websites, it was found that corporate websites that use a full page of FLASH as the homepage (plus buttons such as "Chinese" and "Click to enter") still exist, but the proportion is far lower than the situation before 2002. This phenomenon also shows that many companies have realized that the online marketing role of corporate websites is more important, not just to "show corporate image", because such websites cannot actually represent the image of the company.
In this survey, a detailed investigation and analysis of 117 large-scale consumer enterprise websites in China was conducted. The results found that large-scale enterprise websites have ten major problems, one of which is that "corporate websites pursue artistic effects too much, are more beautiful than practical, and even affect normal browsing and applications." These phenomena also show that corporate websites usually pay more attention to their online image and hope to reflect it through beautiful website production. However, paying too much attention to external factors can only be counterproductive.
